Historic Randy Johnson 2004 Perfect Game Signed Inscribed Game Used Baseball JSA

Description

Presented is an Official Major League Allan Huber Selig baseball used during Randy Johnson’s perfect game on May 18, 2004, in a game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Atlanta Braves at Turner Field in Atlanta, Georgia. In the Diamondbacks’ 2-0 victory, Johnson threw the 17th perfect game in MLB history, striking out 13 Braves hitters, the third-most ever in a perfect game. At 40 years old, Johnson became the oldest player ever to throw a perfect game, doing so in 117 pitches, with 87 being strikes and 30 being balls. This was Johnson’s second no-hitter of his career, throwing one as a member of the Seattle Mariners on June 2, 1990. Robby Hammock caught the game for the Diamondbacks and was praised by Johnson after the game. The offered ball exhibits dark clay staining throughout from use, with fading on the stamps. Johnson has signed the offered baseball, penning his flowing signature in blue ink across the sweet spot. Johnson also includes the inscription “GAME USED PERFECT GAME 5-18-04” west of the sweet spot. Affixed to the baseball is an MLB Authenticated Hologram (MR546284) for authenticity of game use during the perfect game. COA from JSA (WB679978) for authenticity of signature.
