Product Description
Remove excess material from inside and outside of the hole in the drywall.
Identify the front of the wall plate, then screw tension bar into the wall plate about 1/2 an inch.
Use fingers and thumb to snap the triangle tension plate into the tension bar.
Trim wall plate with scissors making sure that the plate is larger than the hole in the drywall. Now your wall plate is ready!
Fold the wall plate and insert into the wall. Turn the tension bar to secure the wall plate. You can use a drill to speed up the tightening process. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN, it should be secure but not bent.
Use cutters to cut excess tension bolt. Now you are ready to patch.
For best results use Perfect Wall Patch Patch Compound to patch your hole.
Make sure work area is dry, clean, firm, and free of dust, oil, wax, paint, and plaster. Mix 2 parts patch compound to 1 part clean water, then mix to consistency of thick paste.
Use the trowel to fill the hole, make sure it goes into all holes of the wall plate and is touching all edges of the drywall. Then allow it to dry before moving to the next step.
For best results, use a second coat of patch compound on the hole and repeat steps 8 & 9.
Once dry, use the sanding block to smooth. Use the blue side 150 grit first and finish with the green side 220 grit.
Now you’re ready to texture and paint!
